More traffic on your site opens a door to make money online. To drive free search engine traffic to your site you need to consider SEO Site Design techniques when designing your web site. Just presenting best contents in internet is not enough; it should be visible and accessible!
 

Niche Site: Pick a very specific topic. Do not fall in greed that you’ll cover everything and make your site useful to everybody. I chose "Making Money Online " for this example.
 

Use a simple structure: It should be easily navigable by users as well as easy to spider by search engines! Very deep structure (multi level navigation) perform poor both with visitors as well as search engines.
 

Make your site surfer friendly: No hidden pages, re-directs, pop-ups, spyware, java, or scripts. Plane ".html" files with text links to full text content rich pages are better preferred which are also easily spidered with useful relevant information for the visitor. Include lots of articles including a few unique pages that you have written yourself.
 

Keyword rich tags: Carefully compose your title tag, description tag, and other Meta tags. They should contain your keywords and be relevant.
 

Keywords in Index Links: Use relevant keywords on your index page from where visitors are directed to your article page.
 

Make use of H1 and H2 tags: Google and other search engines pick up your site title, keywords, description, H1 and H2 tags from your site. Thus, make use of relevant keywords on your H1 and H2 tags. Don’t skip H1 and H2 tags!
 

Robot.txt file for spiders: Create and place robot.txt file on the root directory of your site. This file tells spiders where to look for and where not to. Most cases two lines ‘User-agent: *’ and ‘Disallow:’ is sufficient if you don’t have any folders to restrict spiders from crawling.
 

Body text - Use content rich articles: Also use high color contrast between the text and the background so the search engine doesn't think your trying to hide anything and penalize you. Plus it's just plain easier to read. Use of arial or verdana font is much favored.
 

Use the article title for URLs, File Names, and Directories: Don’t use meaningless directory names or the file names. You better use article title for file names and some relevant word for directory name. This will help to promote your keyword and more search engine friendly. Use of dash (-) to separate words in url, file names and directories helps.
 

Inbound links: Set up link partners. If you can, have them place the link to your site using a keyword instead of the domain name itself. ex: Make Money Online Click Here. Participate in forums put your keyword and site link as signature.
 

Outbound links: Do the same for your link partners. Set up links using text that is relevant to their topic which should be relevant to your site but not competing if possible. If you sell computers, link to a company that sells computer desks.
 

Make same site links with relevant text: ex: "make money at home" will link to a page within your own site.
 

Make Image alt text use primary keywords: ex: "money online"
 

Add HTML comment tags that use primary keywords: These are not seen buy the surfer, but can be seen by search engine spiders. No one has proven this helps, but it doesn't hurt!
 

Now add money making adsense and affiliate links on every page. Put them top center between the article title and article content. Adjust the colors so that is blends in with your web page content.
